Looking for a unique Christmas gift? Take advantage of the Craft Beer Learn and Taste holiday special. A seat in both the Juciy IPA and Craft Lager classes for a reduced rate of $60 (that's a $30 discount).

Juicy IPAs - In defiance of American drinkers’ long-lasting fondness of bland beer, hop-forward India Pale Ales continue to dominate craft beer. The New England IPA (sometimes called Vermont IPA) some claiming it’s the way of the future—cloudy, smooth, and fruity, with an artfully refined bitterness. Can these new IPAs unseat the exalted status of the citrus bomb known as the west coast IPA? Prepare your taste buds for flavor-packed IPAs from sea to shining sea. Guest Brewieries - Uberbrew and Thirsty Street Co.

Craft Lagers - When most Americans think of lager beer they picture the mass-produced lagers you can pick up at any grocery store. These macro-lagers are low cost and low on flavor, weak imitations of the European lagers that inspired them. Hand crafted lagers are seeing a resurgence and share a lot more in common with their European cousins with crisp, clean, malty flavors. Great lagers take time and skill to produce and are the epitome of the brewer’s art. Guest Brewery - Carter's Brewing

Classes 6-8 PM Feb 1 and March 1, 2018 in the MSUB College of Education building room 122.
