This camp actually IS rocket science—and it’s easier than you think. From Apollo to SpaceX, From Earth to Mars and beyond, join the fascinating adventure of space flight by delving into model rocketry. You will start this 5-day camp by building a simple solid-fuel rocket. We will then learn together how nose cone shape, fin configuration, and fuselage length all affect the range and trajectory of a rocket’s flight. Finally, using all of these principles, you will design and build your own custom rocket. Friday will be the grand finale: Launch Day. This camp could be the beginning of a life-long hobby or even a career in Rocket Science!

Please bring a snack and water bottle to camp each day.

This camp will take place at MSU Billings Monday through Thursday with launches at Amend Park on Friday.
