Professional development credits earned are not applicable to a Master’s degree offered by MSUB.  Credits may be used to fulfil K-12 licensure requirements, "lane changes" or other continuing education requirements for professionals.

 

The Summit will be held at the Eileen Johnson Middle School at Lockwood. 

 

This is a three-day BYOD technology conference focusing on technology and technology integration. Teachers will have the opportunity to attend a variety of workshops throughout the three-day conference presented by classroom teachers who successfully integrate technology into their classroom activities. The workshops will range in difficulty so beginning computer-users to advanced computer-users will find valuable sessions.

 

Assignment for receiving credit:

 

Attend all 6 session times available
Please complete a reflection paper after you have attended all sessions at the summit.

 

1. Your reflection paper should include the following information:
" Session title
" Presenter
" Brief description of session
" How you would use the tools/knowledge you gained in this session
o With your students
o For yourself
" Lesson idea if applicable

 

2. Your paper should be 1 page minimum, 3 pages maximum in length. This is in total, not per session. (If you provide a half page summary for each session, you would turn in 3 pages)


3. Email your finished paper to Desiree Caskey at caskeyd@gmail.com.

 

4. Submit your paper by August 8 2016.

 

Grading:  Pass/No Pass

Students must attend 6 sessions

Students must complete the written reflection paper.

 

Cancellations, Transfers, and Refunds


In the event that a course at MSUB Extended Campus does not meet the minimum number of participants, it will be canceled and participants will be called at least 5 (five) days prior to the start of the course. In the event a course is canceled, a full refund will be given or the fee can be transferred to pay for a different course.

 

If you must cancel your registration, you will receive a full refund if it is canceled 5 (five) business days prior to the start date of the program or course. After this date there will be no refunds.  Cancellations must be called in and cannot be emailed.  The phone number to use is (406) 896-5890.
