Raspberry Pi - Beginner, I THINK Camp, grades 6-9

What if you could build and program your own computer? In this camp, you will learn how to do exactly that. With your new Raspberry Pi computer, you will be able to do all sorts of cool things such as store photos from your camera or phone, play games, and surf the Internet. During this 2-day camp, you will build your own Raspberry Pi. You will learn how to operate it and to program it using SCRATCH. You will use your new computer to create music, write your own code using Python, and perform operating system maintenance. You will get to take home your Raspberry Pi unit and connect it to your home monitor, keyboard and mouse. You will need to bring your own headphones, lunch, a water bottle, and snack for each day of the camp. Welcome to the big, amazing world of computer programming! See you in Raspberry Pi. Students must bring their lunch, a water bottle, and snack to this day-long camp. Doors will open by 8:45 am each day. Click on the Instructor's name to learn more about them! Cancellations, Transfers, and Refunds In the event that a summer program does not meet the minimum number of participants, it will be cancelled and parents will be called at least 5 (five) days prior to the start of the camp. In the event a camp is cancelled, a full refund will be given or the fee can be transferred to pay for a different camp. We purchase supplies and hire staff according to enrollment, so if you must cancel your child’s registration, you will receive a full refund if it is cancelled 5 (five) business days prior to the starting date of a summer camp. After this date there will be no refunds. Cancellations must be called in and cannot be emailed.
